I'm so glad that you found my blog so that I can now read yours!

Kent and I are high school youth ministers and at youth group last night we studied Joshua 2. My favorite part of the chapter is the end, when the 2 spies report back to Joshua. Instead of telling Joshua all about the # of soldiers, weapons, or size of the wall (typical war info you would send spies for), they told Joshua all about how big their God is and that even the people of Jericho are disheartened by knowing how wonderful and powerful our God is. They didn't need or care to know how big Jericho's army was, all they needed was to know how big their God was and that He would work out the rest.

I've been thinking and praying on that a lot in the past 24 hours and it of course immediately came to mind when I read this post. :)

Joshua 1:9- "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

That is always the sticking point isn't it? But it is easier to believe that even if it's not what we want...it may be what we need eventually.
